Garage Sale Book Haul

It's that time of the year! People are out washing their cars, mowing the lawn, and having garage sales. My husband and I are notorious for finding garage sales on Craigslist every Saturday. My favorite part? You guessed it -books. I got some great finds this weekend.

Catch-22, Cat's Cradle, The Dante Club, Armageddon in Retrospect, The Road, Slaughterhouse-Five

Total cost? $3.00! Have you read any of these? My to-read list is very long, so it may be a while before I get to them. Which one should I start first?

Love and (a book) light,

~Dorothy

  1. You got Vonneguts!!! I'm so jealous! No one around here sales books like that at garage sales! I have several of the books you've bought but, I'm ashamed to say, haven't gotten around to reading them yet.

  2. That's so funny. I was in a charity books shop on Friday and picked up a copy of Dante's club. I haven't read it yet so the only one in your pile I could recommend is The Road.

  3. @SusieBookworm: I knew I was lucky when I saw them! Peple usually sell their Mary Higgins Clark and James Patterson hardbacks, so when I saw these I snatched them up. I haven't read Vonnegut yet, so I'm excited to start one of them.

@Karen: Let me know how you like The Dante Club when you get to it. I've heard great things about The Road.

  4. Wow, great titles for a garage sale! I have Dante Club on my TBR shelf and Catch-22 is on my wish list. The Road was an excellent book! Happy reading :)

  5. Wow, nice job! Catch-22 is a little heavy but very funny. I’ve heard great things about The Road and you can’t go wrong with Vonnegut!

  6. I loved The Dante Club, especially good if you already have an interest In Dante. I didn't think Slaughterhouse-5 was all that great (ducks and covers from all the fans). I have Catch 22 and The Road to read.
