It's Monday -What are You Reading? 7/25

This is a weekly meme hosted by Book Journey.

Read last week:

One Day by David Nicholls
One Day was a good read. I hear the movie with Anne Hathaway is very true to the book. Can't wait!

Reading Now:
Freakonomics by Levitt & Dubner
I'm currently enjoying Freakonomics. I usually alternate between fiction and non-fiction. I think this book is very accessible, whether or not you have background in economics or statistics.

Up Next:
Room by Emma Donoghue
I've heard lots about this book, both good and bad. I'm going to see for myself soon as I finish Freakonomics.

My To-Read list is already incredibly long, but I'm always taking recommendations. I often change my mind about which book to read at the last minute because of a friend's review or recommendation. So tell me, is there something else I should read next?

Love and (a book) light,

~Dorothy

  1. Room has been on my to get list forever! I hope that you enjoy it and I will watch for your review.

At first, I didn't think I had much for my Monday Review, but I stayed up way too last last night reading.

  2. Room is on my bookshelf waiting to be read. Just gotta get through a bunch of others first.

Freakonomics is a great book. It's entertaining, accessible for people with and without an economic degree, and is a book you can talk about with people and apply to real life. Enjoy!

  3. I hope you enjoy your books, although I didn't really love either Freakonomics or Room, but I think I'm in the minority.

  4. I decided not to go with Room, hope you enjoy it.

Fifty Shades of Grey is a must read :-)

  5. I think I'm going to be the last person to read One Day, I have a copy but it never calls to me. I read Room in one sitting but then I had no idea what the book was about other than a room so I liked the not knowing at first. I thought it was very clever if not to everyone's tastes!

  6. I have seen Room around the blogging world and bookstore browsing. I honestly don't know much about it, but I did get my hands on a copy, so it is my list of TBR. Hope you enjoy it.

Here is mine for this week.
